“The baby cottontail has left his nest. He was born about a month ago, blind,
pink and thumb-size. His mother had made a nest of rootlets, grasses and down
from her own chest. By using four to seven materials, when the mother leaves
the nest, the baby is perfectly protected and camouflaged.”
