ROBERT BATEMAN has been hailed as the most influential wildlife artist of twentieth century. He had his first one man show in 1967. Since then he has had numerous exhibitions and sell-out shows in Canada, the United States and abroad and his work is held in public and private collections worldwide. Ten collections of his work had been published, and two of his books have made publishing history by selling more than half million copies. His lifelong passion for wildlife and nature led to his second career as an advocate for environmental concerns, a role for which he has received numerous awards and public recognition. Bateman lives on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia.
