The Wickaninnish Inn, named after the local chief who dominated Vancouver Island’s Clayoquot Sound in the early 1800s, is one of the premier resorts in North America. It is located near the town of Tofino, hosting guests and celebrities from all over the world. The dining room, positioned right at the edge of the intertidal zone, is a fabulous vantage point from which to view the wild fury of the North Pacific during winter storms.
