This painting is dedicated to the great Russian poet of the 20th century; Anna Akhmatova. Her fate is very tragic, she became one of the many victims of the Stalinist regime. She had a difficult life and expierienced poverty, receiving world fame only at the end of her life. The blue color with the various shades of silver gives a feeling of sadness, cold and beautiful depth. A modest flower; field lilies of the valley, sit in a simple jar against the background of falling snowflakes, symbolizing fragility, tenderness and strength. These are Anna's favorite flowers. A small ray of light penetrates through the glass and illuminates Anna's portrait. Life didn't give Anna much light, warmth nor love, but despite this Anna gave light, warmth and love to people. The feather symbolizes Anna's poetic path and at the same time the feather dropped by the bird gives a feeling of a ruined nest, the loss of loved ones and loneliness.
