This multi-hued yellow marble is quarried near Siena, Italy. Although small in stature, I’ve tried to imbue a sense of power in the physique of male torso. It is interesting to note the colour change at the waist of the figure from dark gold to pale yellow. I’ve left the sculpture with a matte finish to allow the stone the ability to successfully hold shadow. It is wonderfully smooth to the touch.
