Tammy Hudgeon is a visual artist whose deep connection to the Canadian Prairies landscape informs her vibrant and diverse body of work. Despite being self-taught, Tammy has achieved significant recognition both nationally and internationally. She has won the B.C. Glass Art Award twice and has been celebrated for her contributions to her local arts community.

Tammy's artistic repertoire spans various mediums, including tiny glass gems, mixed media paintings, and large-scale sculptures combining glass, steel, and wood. Her creative process is driven by a quest to connect with her authentic voice, infusing her artwork with a joyful and soulful energy inspired by the wild spirit of life.

Her artistic journey has been highlighted in publications such as magazines and books, and she has been featured in interviews on television and radio, including CBC's North by Northwest show. Tammy's travels have broadened her artistic horizons, exposing her to traditional and tribal cultures that deeply inspire her. She particularly admires their spirited use of color, adornment, and sacred rituals, which often influence her work.
