With heavy rains on the west coast in the winter it is not uncommon for a boat’s bilge pump to malfunction causing the boat to fill with rain and become submerged. A friend says that leaving your boat half full of water is a good way to make sure it does not get stolen . In this image a fall of wet snow has added to the cool wet mood of the scene and made the perfect resting place for a great blue heron.
