About Paul Jorgensen

Paul Jorgensen's artistic journey began with his graduation from the Vancouver School of Art in 1971, now known as the Emily Carr School of Art and Design. After brief ventures into graphic design and magazine work in Vancouver, he embarked on a transformative six-month painting endeavor on a Greek Island alongside his wife. Rooted in childhood memories of scarce art materials and early exposure to car ad illustrations, Jorgensen's passion for art flourished under the nurturing encouragement of his parents and inspiring teachers.

From his Vancouver Island studio, Jorgensen's paintings enchant viewers with their whimsical landscapes and vibrant colors, evoking a sense of peace and nostalgia. His unique perspective and use of vivid hues create captivating compositions that invite viewers into a world of interconnected forms and patterns. Over time, Jorgensen's style has evolved, shifting towards high-angle views and kaleidoscopic perspectives, infusing his work with new energy and storytelling potential.

With each brushstroke, Jorgensen continues to captivate audiences, weaving tales of wonder and delight that resonate deeply with viewers.
