Fuchsite is a green variety of the mineral muscovite, a mica, and is also known as chrome mica. Its green color comes from chromium impurities. Fuchsite is named after Johann Nepomuk von Fuchs, a German chemist and mineralogist. It's a semi-precious gemstone used in jewelry and for decorative purposes.
Galena and Calcite are often found together in mineral specimens. Galena is known for its metallic luster and lead-gray color, while Calcite exhibits a variety of colors and can be transparent to translucent. Galena is a major source of lead and silver, and it's also found associated with other minerals like sphalerite and fluorite. Calcite has various uses, including as a building material and in agriculture.
