The way we perceive any painting greatly depends on the viewer's point of view. When the image is placed at eye level, it reflects a familiar, grounded perspective. Sometimes, the artist brings us even lower — down to our knees — because there is so much beauty in the world that deserves our silent reverence.
But often, I want to give the viewer wings… and off we go. Everything begins to swirl and spin. A glass, brushed by a wing, tips over — berries scatter. We rise higher, and the folds of fabric are no longer still; they become rushing streams, flowing around islands soaked in moisture, fragrance, and sunlight…
Enjoy the flight — after all, each of us is a little bit of an angel.
