Featured Display: Whimsy in Harmony

Please join us for a delightful display: Whimsy in Harmony featuring the enchanting works of Eduard Kajdasz and Marie Kajdasz, two creative souls who have spent decades turning everyday moments into magical tales told through paint and fibre.

Eduard, with his acrylics and mixed media, invites you into a world where reality gets a cheeky twist: boats might sail through purple skies, clowns hitch rides on clouds, and still lifes bloom with unexpected joy. His paintings sing visual songs that wink at the viewer, asking, “Why settle for ordinary when a little whimsy makes everything sparkle?”

Marie, an award-winning fibre artist, weaves her own brand of wonder through contemporary stitchery, art quilts, and felted dreams. Her pieces dance with texture and colour, capturing fleeting scenes like a shot in the dark or a priceless view, all stitched with the same gentle mischief that makes you smile.

Now in their 70s and still creating side by side in Victoria, British Columbia, this husband-and-wife duo proves that imagination doesn’t age, it just gets more delightfully mischievous!

Eduard and Marie will be in the gallery on Saturday January 24 from noon to 3pm to meet and greet. The display of their works will be from Saturday January 24^th until Saturday February 7^th.
