The Unbearable Lightness Of Being
To life's reverent way the feather does fall,
Cast in a new pose I throw on this shawl,
As if a sculptor I chisel with my mallet,
As if a painter I mix colour from my palette.
With new eyes as far as I see beauty abounds,
With new ears from afar glorious sounds,
From the air all surround in life a sweet taste,
A tender touch to which nothing is waste.
We princes & princesses of immortal majesty,
A fountain to drink from man's mortal tragedy,
On Earth with shallow breath a passing glance,
For it is the arena of the stars where we dance.
I was given a golden sphere of searing heat,
To explode in brilliance if ever we meet,
A heavy weight I turned to silver from lead,
A free spirit my heart shall never be dead.
